Pennington Loop Nature Trail

Pennington Loop Trail, Kunkel Park (6/4/2016)

This is the second of two areas we visited today in Central New Jersey. Using this map, we parked at Kunkel Park off King George Road and hiked most of the trails on the map. We headed north along the green-blazed trail to Baldwin Lake, home to a swan couple with their cignates, Canada Geese with their goslings, ducks and egrets. We continued on Orange heading west to the tip of the lake before turning back, retracing Orange and then taking Yellow south back to the car.

Total distance hiked was nearly 3 miles in about an hour and 40 minutes.
