This is Hike #17 ("Mary's Rock") in the book
Hiking Shenandoah National Park, Third Edition.
This was the first of seven hikes we did during our five-night stay in Luray, Virginia, a quaint little town nestled between Shenandoah National Park to the
east and the George Washington National Forest to the west. This out-and-back was almost entirely on the AT, except for the last 100 yards or so, to the
amazing vista where the wind nearly blew me off the mountain!
