We hiked the beach at this gorgeous state park way back in November, 2010. On that day we stayed on the
beach and hiked to the southern-most tip, getting pelted with hail while trying to get a good photo of the Barnegat Bay lighthouse.
Today, on a day that couldn't have been more beautiful, we returned to hike all eight nature trails in the park. And we had a blast. Using
this map, we started at the southern-most
trail and headed north, driving from trailhead to trailhead. This was the first of the eight trails that we did. Here is a description of the trail from the park
brochure, which can be obtained free of charge from the ticket booth and at just about every trail head:
