We hiked some of this stretch of the Patriot's Path in the past, once after a huge blizzard that didn't allow us to make much progress in the deep snow.
So we returned today intending to hike the stretch of the PP in Chester between the parking lot on Furnace Road and Cooper Gristmill.

We parked in the lot at Furnace Road (actual entrance is on Tannersbrook Road). It's just north of Chubb Park on the map. We headed north on a connecting path to get to the PP, turning right to head east. Immediately we came upon the new historic site. A more-detailed map can be found here. You can also see the parking lot on Tannersbrook Road on the map, as well as every single information sign on the trail! We continued east, crossing Furnace Road, then continuing west on the blue-blazed PP (see county map) until we got close to the Cooper Gristmall, at which point we turned around and retraced our steps back to the car. Total distance hiked today was 3.9 miles in two hours and fifteen minutes.
