We visited this sweet little oasis nearly six years ago. At that time we were there based on a recommendation in the book
Guide to Green New Jersey. Today we returned to follow the
Hike of the Week for 11/5/2009 as described on the NY-NJ Trail Conference site,
with an added visit to Phair's Pond. We saw loads of birds, turtles, squirrels, lots of deer tracks in the mud, and the first wasps of the season!
Total distance hiked today was about 1.7 miles in about 90 minutes. (Click on the thumbnail to bring up a bigger image in a pop-up window)
